Savannah Pender Blanton
Thanks so much for your interest in my dance studio!
I started dancing when I was 4 years old, and haven't stopped! I grew up dancing competitively with Beaufort Academy of Dance's Competition Team, until I graduated from Thomas Heyward Academy.
Following high school I began my professional training at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I received my BFA in Performing Arts and minor in dance choreography.
I've choreographed for dance studios, music videos, and local productions. I also share a love for acting, which blossomed when I had the chance to work full-time on Fox Searchlights' feature film 'Gifted.'
After graduating college, I moved to New Orleans for 3 years & taught Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap, Acro, Musical Theater, & Acting at the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts.
From a young age, my passion has always extended beyond just the art of dance; it has encompassed teaching as well. I started my teaching journey at the age of 14, and I was immediately captivated by the gratifying experience of motivating and guiding others.
Dance taught me from an early age the value of practice & discipline. If you ask me, there is no better feeling than the few minutes you get on stage after the hours of work put in at the studio...My ultimate goal as a teacher is to give my students that same feeling. The majority of my favorite childhood memories were in a dance studio, I hope your dancer will look back one day and say the same!
I am so excited to be back & share my love for dance in my hometown!
